An aluminum extrusion die is the precision-machined steel mold that shapes molten aluminum into structural profiles — the rails, tubes, channels, and custom shapes that make up an aluminum dock, ramp, or marine structure. The die determines the cross-section, the wall thickness, and the structural performance of every piece of aluminum it produces.
Most aluminum dock manufacturers do not own dies. They buy off-the-shelf aluminum profiles from extrusion suppliers and assemble them into products. That works for generic applications — but it limits what you can build, how strong it can be, and how custom your work can get.

Off-the-shelf aluminum is designed to a generic specification that has to work for many applications. Our proprietary dies are designed for specific applications — meaning the aluminum profile is optimized for the loads, stresses, and conditions it will face. The structural performance gap is significant.
When we PE-stamp a product, the engineering covers the aluminum profile as well as the assembly. Off-the-shelf aluminum from third-party suppliers often has gaps in documentation that complicate certification. With proprietary dies, every aluminum component traces back to our engineered specifications.
If a project needs a custom aluminum profile for a specialized application, most manufacturers cannot help — they are limited to what their suppliers stock. We can run a custom die or modify an existing profile when project economics justify it. This unlocks projects competitors cannot bid on.

We provide an engineered quote that includes the aluminum profile specification, manufacturing scope, PE stamp engineering, and lead time. Custom die work has different lead times than runs from existing dies — we provide both options when applicable.
Once approved, we manufacture in our Naples, Maine facility and document the engineering through the PE stamp process. Final delivery includes the engineered product plus all certification documentation needed for permits, insurance, and acceptance.
